The Traveling Lucys began with one woman's lifelong belief that women deserve to see the world with ease, joy, and the comfort of good company. After countless years crisscrossing continents for her software career, Sue realized what she cherished most were the moments when travel became about connection - those unscripted conversations and shared laughter with fellow women who understand what it means to start a new chapter. Inspired to create a welcoming space, Sue brought her expertise and genuine heart to launch a group travel community where mature women could experience adventure and sisterhood side by side. Each journey was planned to bring comfort and friendship to travelers who sought more than a typical tour. Before long, the joy, stories, and returning smiles from these trips made it clear: this business was not about just seeing new places, but about building lasting friendships and giving women the confidence to embrace the world together. That sense of belonging is what continues to guide everything The Traveling Lucys does.

Hi, I’m Sue the admin for The Traveling Lucys. I’ve traveled all over the world while working in the communications industry. All of my travel experiences led me to a job as a Travel Advisor and I’ve never looked back. Nothing makes me happier than opening up new doors for clients so they may experience all the United States and the world has to offer. I live in Orlando Florida with my son Liam and his wife Liz and our two cats Tallulah and Boba. I’m thrilled to see The Traveling Lucys grow into a vibrant community of traveling women. Let’s go!

Hi, I'm LaDonna Hale, a Travel Advisor with The Traveling Lucys and Dream Vacations. I live in Marietta, Georgia, with my husband and our two dogs. As an empty nester, I've embraced this exciting chapter of life by pursuing two of my greatest passions: travel and pickleball. I earned a degree in Accounting and have built a career that includes experience in accounting, procurement, auditing, and small business ownership. These experiences have given me strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional service. My love of travel led me to co-found Dink Away Travels, a company specializing in group pickleball vacations to tropical destinations. Through that experience, I've seen firsthand how travel brings people together and creates lasting memories. That's why I am especially excited to focus on group travel, helping friends, families, clubs, and organizations plan stress-free and unforgettable experiences. I look forward to bringing fresh ideas, enthusiasm, and personalized service to The Traveling Lucys community while helping travelers discover new destinations and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Linda Hicks is a retired nurse, proud mom of three, and grandma of two who believes it’s never too late for adventure. Living between Connecticut and Florida, she enjoys the best of both worlds and is always ready for her next getaway. As an active Traveling Lucy and member of the Miles and Smiles planning team, she works closely with Sue to help create fun, supportive, and memorable experiences for women who love to explore. She has traveled with the Lucy’s to Dubai, enjoyed the magic of a Christmas River Cruise, and escaped winter on a “Get Out of the Cold” trip. One of her favorite things about being a Lucy is the meaningful connections and friendships she has made along the way—she loves knowing she always has someone to travel with. She is passionate about helping fellow Lucy’s feel comfortable, cared for, and ready to make new friends, share lots of laughs, and create unforgettable memories.

Hi! I’m a retired middle school social studies teacher. After years of teaching students about the incredible places the world has to offer, I’m now enjoying the opportunity to explore them for myself. I’ve traveled to all 50 states, most of the Canadian provinces, many Caribbean islands, and parts of Europe and Australia. There’s still so much more to discover, and I look forward to exploring the world alongside The Traveling Lucys.

Jill knows exactly what it takes to make a trip unforgettable. After a successful career as an Insurance Business Analyst, she spent the last year and a half working behind the scenes with Sue, coordinating logistics, flights, and transfers to ensure every Traveling Lucys tour runs seamlessly. Today, she brings that same attention to detail and care directly to every traveler’s experience.
Jill’s Traveling Lucys journey began with a leap of faith on a trip to Savannah. Since then, she has enjoyed unforgettable adventures to Key West & Bimini, Alaska, Cocoa Beach, and the rolling hills of Tuscany, building lasting friendships with an incredible community of women along the way.
When she’s not planning travel or spending time with her four children and nine grandchildren, Jill is dedicated to helping women embrace the confidence to travel solo while enjoying the comfort of always being part of a supportive group.
